Dodgeball Overview
The game starts with players lining up on opposing baselines. On the referee's opening whistle, players race towards the 9 gatorballs spread out on the mid-court stripe. Players that are quick enough to retrieve a gatorballs must return to their own baseline, before attempting to eliminate opposing players. No player may cross mid-court in an attempt to eliminate an opposing player until the referee blows his whistle again, at which time teams will be permitted to go as far as the opposing team's foul line.
Elimination occurs in one of two ways. A player hit with a gatorball thrown by an opposing player is eliminated. However, if an opposing player's throw is caught, then that opossing player is eliminated. Play continues until every player on one of the teams is knocked out of the game.
Each week, teams will play 4 games (against one other team) that are 5 minutes in length. Scoring will consist of the total number of games won each week and teams will always play four games.
