Jill took control of her team with spirited encouragement backed by confident play.
She was pinpoint kicking, moving runners, legging out infield hits, and played stiff defense to boot.
Wow!!! That's the only word that I can describe how Megan played this week. She pitched 2 complete games with accurate pinpoint strikes, while making some amazing defensive plays. In game 2 of their doubleheader and Redfin looking to gain some momentum, Megan pitched to woman who bunted it between 1st and the pitcher. Megan ran towards the ball (knowing she didn't have time to pick it up and throw it) she kicked it towards the runner and got her on the arm before she reached safely. A great play. Not only did she play great defense but followed it with a 2 run triple. Megan, your my hero. Great game Megan and congratulation on being the POTW!!!

Rad chick + awesome catch = POTW
It takes a real rad person to be POTW. That's why it goes to Nichelle Villanti. She made a diving catch that her teammate couldn't catch so he kicked it towards her. It tipped off of another teammate's hands and she dove and made the catch. Nichelle also had an OB% of 1.000. It seemed like she just couldn't get out. Way to be rad Nichelle!
"Meta-Ball-Omics" had a two run lead going into the last inning and needed somebody to step up on defense to halt the other team's momentum. With three straight outs Hector Rovira proved to be their man. For his clutch performance when the game was on the line Hector is our Player of the Week. Congrats!

Cannon Arm Seals the Win
Bryan French's terrific plays on defense key victory for Saints
Time and again, Bryan French was asked to step up when the game was on the line. And time and again, he would answer the challenge with incredible throws all over the field. Whether it was routine groundouts, line drive catches, or unbelievable pegouts just before the plate, Bryan was all over it. His great play set the stage for his team to come back from a 6-0 deficit and steal the win 20-10. Great game Bryan!
Lilly Silva made this week's decision for Player of the Week pretty easy with one spectacular catch. She was out in right center field when the other team crushed a kick in her direction. She was able to track it down, but the ball was moving so hard and so fast that it knocked her flat on her back into a big puddle. Somehow with a big bear hug around the ball she was able to hold on for the out despite the splash. Great job Lilly and thanks for the entertainment!
The players of "Swift Kick in the Grass" and "Meta-Ball-Omics" all hail from the same company so there was a lot on the line in there game this past Tuesday, namely bragging rights at work. Both teams came to play in a big way and the score was super tight at 3-2 for most of the game. Somebody needed to step up and that somebody ended up being a big surprise. Alton Etheridge has battled injuries and inexperience all season, but he rose to the occasion in the final two innings accounting for several huge defensive plays, including the final out to put the game away. In this heated rivalry game Alton was the game-changer and he is our Player of the Week. Great Job Alton!

Fence? Who needs em'
Silao was making catches all day in the outfield. There was one particular catch that grabbed everyones attention though. Running uphill towards the fence, Silao caught the ball as he head dove into the fence. Lets just say the fence knows better for next time getting in Silao's way!

POTW: Jenn Fahey
The week's POTW goes to the captain of the "Saints" team: Jenn Fahey. Despite this being their first time playing with Underdog, Jenn has led her team to an undefeated regular season. In their win on Tuesday Jenn was dominant from her 2nd base position making some impressive outs at crucial moments. For her leadership of the number one team in the league and her consistently solid play all year Jenn is our Player of the Week. Congrats Jenn!

POTW: Kendall Bossert
The competition for our Player of the Week award was the closest that I have ever seen. The epic battle between "Redfin" and "Maddababy" drew out some incredible performances from a number of players, but at the end of the day the stellar defense of Kendall Bossert stands out above the rest. The opposing team kept testing her with hard line drives down the third base-line and time after time Kendall pulled off amazing catches. Although her team was not able to get the victory, Kendall's excellent defense deserves to be rewarded. Congrats Kendall you're our Player of the Week!

Clutch Kick Seals Come From Behind Win
An astonishing turn of events in the late innings of a Tuesday night game forged Eddie Karr's name into the Underdog Kickball Hall of Fame forever. Down 10-3 in the final inning, Eddie was just biding his time, awaiting the chance to prove the character of his team in a clutch situation. With 2 outs and the bases juiced, "Sir" Eddie Karr (who reportedly has the certification to prove his knightly status) slammed a double to deep right center field to give his team the walk off win!!
Great game Eddie!
Bolthouse Responds to Pitching Call-Up in an Exceptional Way
After being called up to the kickball big leagues by coach Michael Fox, pitcher Nick Bolthouse made a big splash in his debut, striking out 1 and paralyzing kickers left and right. With ball movement that would have made Tim Wakefield proud, Nick helped his team build a sturdy lead that would prove to be insurmountable.
At several key moments in the game early on, Nick would need to draw on his lowly experience as an Eagle High School Mustang (Go Pats!!) and at St. Martin's to garner the lead back for his team and hold it for good.
Justin was all over the outfield in both the semifinal and championship games. He made a couple of diving catches in the semifinal that helped end the rally of Maddababy. His defense was just as good in the championship game as he helped end mutiple comebacks and caught the final out to seal the championship win for the Saints.
